The River Community Church is involved in both local and overseas ministry in both practical and spiritual ways. Our objective is to be a spiritually aware and spiritually led people who are the hands and feet of Jesus in the community.

Practical

Jesus set the example as He came with the Good News of the Kingdom of God and along the way provided practically for people in need.

Our practical areas of ministry are to the poor and needy in the community. Our initiatives include the River Food Share, the River Op Shop and the Love Your Neighbour Appeal.

Our 20 plus volunteers form part of a network that provides food for over 250 families each month, as well as operating an Op Shop.

Spiritual

Spiritual areas of ministry are found in the teaching of the Word of God not just on Sundays but during the week as various opportunities for people to connect spiritually are available.

Globally we support missionaries in Papua, Indonesia, Philippines and Zimbabwe.
